DAY 1
Upon arrival at Grand Selva Lodge, our staff will welcome you with the traditional Guayusa beverage. We will then proceed to your room for a short rest. Afterward, we will gather in the lobby for a brief informational talk about the lodge and available activities. This will be given by one of our expert guides, after which we will proceed to lunch.
We will continue with the presentation of artisanal chocolate. Tasting of hot chocolate with fruit and a face mask.
We meet in the dining room at 7 pm for our dinner featuring organic, locally sourced ingredients.
Our night hike will begin at 8 pm where we will provide you with flashlights, boots and our guide will be in charge of introducing you to different fascinating animals, such as poisonous spiders, grasshoppers, paiche, eel, snakes, toads, frogs, owls and much more on one of the best night tours through the Ecuadorian jungle.
DAY 2
At 8 am we meet for continental breakfast which includes eggs, ham, cheese, bread, jam, butter, fresh fruit juice, milk, coffee and tea.
Next, we prepare for the "Full Day Amazonian 360°" tour, which includes tubing or kayaking on the Arajuno River. We arrive at "Amazoonico," an animal rescue center, a great opportunity to observe wild animals and contribute to their well-being. Afterward, in a motorized canoe, we'll visit Anaconda Island, where an indigenous family will welcome us and give a demonstration of blowgun shooting, traditional dance, the harvesting of agave fiber, and the making and tasting of chicha (a fermented beverage). We'll also see the hoatzin and the caiman swamp. We'll then enjoy a boxed lunch on the riverbank. On the return trip in the motorized canoe, we'll observe the lagoon of the arapaima – the "monster of the Amazon."
We will serve dinner at 7 pm.
DAY 3
After breakfast, we'll get ready to visit the "Cascadas de Latas" (Latas Waterfalls). This guided tour takes you through a majestic landscape of pure jungle harmony. The guide will explain the most interesting aspects of the flora and fauna. The healing power of standing beneath the waterfall and allowing the water to massage your body provides a feeling of relaxation and rejuvenates your senses. You'll be able to see and feel the waterfalls cascading into one beautiful pool after another. These natural pools invite you to bathe in the fresh, crystal-clear water that flows from the mountains. Afterward, we'll visit Monkey Beach, the Amazonian port.
Back at the lodge, we will serve lunch in the dining area with menus of your choice.
In the afternoon we got ready for an authentic activity in the protected primary forest reserve with native guides explaining the harmonious experience with the jungle, giant trees and impressive viewpoints.
