Day 1 Arrival in Quito - Papallacta • Welcome to Ecuador! After landing in Quito, you will be warmly greeted by your tour guide and escorted to your hotel. Located in the majestic Andes at 2,850 meters above sea level, Quito is the second highest capital city in the world. We begin your journey through the western Andes at an altitude of 4,000 meters. Visit some of Ecuador's most beautiful volcanic hot springs, where your body, mind, and soul can rejuvenate in the thermal baths of Papallacta. Overnight in Papallacta.
Day 2 Papallacta – Amazon • Journey into the lush Amazon basin with breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the most biodiverse area on Earth. En route, you will visit the mysterious Jumandy Caves, taking a journey into the past of the indigenous culture to learn the stories and legends of these caves. Upon arrival at your jungle lodge, you will be welcomed with the traditional Guayusa drink and introduced to the unique variety of flora and fauna. For the night hike, you will be provided with flashlights and boots before your guide introduces you to fascinating reptiles, insects, birds, and the legendary Paiche fish. Overnight in the Amazon.
Day 3 Amazonia • Today a very special adventure awaits you: the "Full Day Amazon 360°." You can choose to enjoy the refreshing waters by floating down the tranquil Arajuno River on inner tubes or relax while canoeing before arriving at the animal rescue center. It's the perfect opportunity to observe the local wildlife while contributing to its well-being. Then, in a motorized canoe, you'll visit Anaconda Island, where an authentic indigenous tribe will welcome you to learn blowgun techniques, traditional dances, fiber extraction from the pita plant, and the preparation and tasting of chicha, a fermented beverage made from yucca, a type of potato native to the rainforest. Lunch will be served on the riverbank. Afterward, we'll observe the iconic hoatzin in the swamp while getting a close look at caimans. Return to the lodge by motorized canoe. Overnight in the Amazon.
Day 4 Amazon • This morning you are invited to an early morning hike and a quiet canoe ride on the lagoon of a unique nature reserve. A local guide will introduce you to the harmonious coexistence with the rainforest, immersing you in the diverse wildlife of the jungle. In the afternoon, the tour continues with a presentation and tasting of cacao, the food of the gods. Enjoy an interactive cacao-making experience with hot chocolate, fruit, and a chocolate face mask. Day 5 Amazon - Quito - Galapagos • Transfer to Quito airport for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival in San Cristóbal, the archipelago's most biodiverse island, a private transfer will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the interpretation center, which will introduce you to the islands' history, nature, and ecology. Afterward, enjoy the beautiful warm-sand beach of Playa Mann, where you can swim with playful sea lions. Enjoy the Galapagos Islands' nightlife! Overnight in Puerto Baquerizo.
Day 6 Galapagos – San Cristóbal Highlands • Today you will explore the community of El Progreso and the El Junco crater lagoon with your naturalist guide. This is the archipelago's only freshwater lake, where frigatebirds wash their wings to remove excess salt. Visit the giant tortoise breeding station at Cerro Colorado. The day ends at one of the archipelago's most beautiful beaches, Puerto Chino, where you can observe marine iguanas, Galapagos crabs, blue-footed boobies, lava lizards, sea lions, and much more. Free time on the coastal boardwalk. Overnight in Puerto Baquerizo.
Day 7 Galapagos - Trails and Coastline • Hike up Cerro Tijeretas, the historic hill where Charles Darwin first set foot on the Galapagos Islands with his ship, the HMS Beagle! Along this trail, you'll spot various species of Galapagos finches. Once at the summit, you'll be amazed by the breathtaking views and the incredible feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy a refreshing swim at the tranquil Playa Carola, then visit La Lobería, a haven for sea lions and marine iguanas, and a popular spot for surfers from around the world. Overnight in Puerto Baquerizo.
Day 8 Galapagos - Quito • Your guide will accompany you to the airport for your return trip to Quito for your international flight back or for the continuation of your personal trip.
